JULIA TAYLOR - PROJECT MANAGER

Julia Taylor, has very broad experience of working with VCOs in a variety of roles, from trainer to development advisor, on a range of diverse projects. Her role in EVOLVE is to oversee and coordinate the work of the frontline ICT workers in the two regions. Ensuring that the organizations that sign-up to EVOLVE see the benefits of improved use of ICT in delivering their services and that their progress is recorded and reported back to Capacity Builders. The key purpose of Improving Reach programme is to support frontline organizations and strengthen the infrastructure of the south west. Through evaluation we hope to share good practice, inform future project and invite further funding. Julia will be inviting participating organisations to contact her with case studies and stories about their experiences on the project.
ROB TURNER - RURAL ICT CO-ORDINATOR
(Devon and Cornwall)
Rob rejoins COSMIC after three years spent working in a managerial role in the private sector.
Rob’s previous roles at COSMIC included the development of the company’s Strategic Marketing Plan as well as the completion of a 3-month feasibility project looking at the possibility of providing a technical support service for the Voluntary Community Sector. His final role within the company was as a project manager for a pilot project entitled ‘IT’s NEET’ which helped secure funding for its continuation post pilot.
Rob has returned to an area he loves and is looking forward to using his enthusiasm and experience to help rural VCO’s realise their potential through the effective use of ICT.
SIMON DUNCAN - RURAL ICT CO-ORDINATOR
(Dorset and Somerset)
Simon joined Cosmic in 2007 as the Rural ICT Co-ordinator for Somerset and Dorset. He is part of the team that run the Evolve project developing ICT support and services for rural voluntary and community organisations in the South West. Simon has a senior management background and brings with him a broad experience in project management, strategy development and quality assurance. Simon is particularly interested in helping small organisations to develop sustainable ICT support networks.
